PurrGuide is an independent UK website that helps cat owners choose food with confidence. We're not owned by a pet food brand or retailer.

How we research

• Labels first. We check whether a food is sold as "complete" or "complementary", what meat percentage the brand states, and what the feeding guide implies about cost.
• Real UK prices. We compare brand websites and UK retailers, and we show the date we checked. Prices change, so always check before you buy.
• No fake testing. Unless a guide says otherwise, our picks are research-based comparisons, not hands-on tests. We'd rather be honest than pretend.
• Sources shown. Where a fact comes from a brand or retailer, we say so.

What we don't do

We don't give veterinary advice. If your cat is unwell, has a medical condition, or needs a prescription diet, please talk to your vet.
